Join us for lunch at the Airdrie Chamber of Commerce office on Tuesday, October 3rd with Rick Christiaanse, CEO of Invest Alberta. Rick Christiaanse will be providing an update on Alberta's investment landscape including key growing sectors, new local investments, and upcoming initiatives to increase the competitiveness of Alberta's regions.
Global investors have been planting new roots in the region, creating high-impact investments and jobs in a variety of exciting sectors. Join us to hear the progress in the region, success stories, new regional initiatives, and give an update on Alberta's global investment landscape.
Presenter Biography:
Rick Christiaanse is a seasoned senior executive in the corporate, public, and not-for-profit sectors, bringing decades of senior business leadership experience driving growth and negotiating major investments globally.
He's worked with startups to billion-dollar enterprises, leading teams in foreign direct investment and the international tech ecosystem, serving as an experienced connector between business, governments, stakeholders, and not-for-profit organizations. Rick joined Invest Alberta in October 2021, building an engaging local and international team that has attracted nearly $20 billion in diverse, high-impact investments to Alberta to date.
