Airdrie Music Lessons
Raised in Nova Scotia, Anthony Burbidge graduated from Mount Allison University’s Bachelor Of Classical Music program in 1993. The following year, he relocated to Calgary where, over the next decade, he worked at and managed the nine-time CCMA Canadian Music Retailer Of The Year - Sam The Record Man in Chinook Centre.
Following this, he worked as a singer-song writer, performer, and studio engineer/producer for five years. During this time, he performed throughout North America, released six albums, and won several song writing awards.
In 2010, Burbidge pivoted and began teaching music lessons from his Luxstone basement studio. Beginning with just one student, the little local business would eventually be branded as Airdrie Music Lessons. Over the past 13 years, AML has grown to a current team of 14 employees and has served thousands of Airdrie families. Sonce its inception, AML has been nominated for and won numerous business awards, including the most recent, Airdrie Chamber Of Commerce’s “2023 Legacy Business Award.”
As part of AML’s vision for creating community within our community, the business has given back by providing free lessons to deserving kids, training the next generation through its intern program, providing entertainment for local organizations, and donating funds and prizes to local charities.
