Important Dates:

• March 14, 2025 - Deadline to submit your application with a video sample of what you will be performing to events@airdriechamber.ab.ca. *Late entries will not be accepted.
   
• March 24, 2025 - 10 standout contestants will be selected to showcase their incredible skills and creativity and will be notified if they have been selected to compete.
   
• April 12, 2025 - 
  • 1:00PM - 2:00PM: Rising Stars Talent Show 
  • 3:00PM - 3:30PM: Top Three Finalists' Performances
  • 3:30PM: Rising Stars Winner Announced
     

Performance Guidelines:

1) Participants must be five years old or older.
2) Participants between five and 18 must have parental consent.
3) Solo acts, duos, and groups are accepted.
4) Performers must sign a release form for media use (photos and videos).
5) Open to residents of the Airdrie and Balzac region.
6) All acts participating in the Rising Stars Talent Show must require minimal setup.
7) Performances should be self-contained and not require extensive equipment, props, or space. This ensures a smooth flow of the event and accommodates all performers. We encourage creative and dynamic acts that can be performed with limited setup time! Stage size: 24 ft x 16 ft  (32" high).

Prohibited Performances:

1) Any performance with large, complicated stage props.
2) Large scale dance routines.
3) Aerial performances.
4) Acts with animals of any kind.
5) Acts with fire.
6) High-wire acts.
7) Elaborate magic acts/hypnotist/illusionist.
8) Spiritual healing.
9) Acts with swords.
10) Pyrotechnics.
11) Bands or orchestral performances.

Prizes:

Winners will be announced at the end of the event, with prizes awarded to the top three performers.

1. First place: $500 shop local gift basket, $250 cash and on-stage performance at the Airdrie Regional Chamber Business Awards Gala on October 23^rd, 2025.
2. Second place: $100 shop local gift card
3. Third place: $50 shop local gift card
